From diners to fine dining and from dive bars to Oscar parties, they served in the trenches with the best and worst of humanity and sold their souls for rent money to just about every kind of person one can imagine. Until one of them gathered the group with a mission: tell the stories they’d been living for so long. Thus was born Servitude: The Series, a take-no-prisoners look at the amusement, absurdity and occasional agony of working in a restaurant.

Partly based on real stories — and partly dredged from the twisted minds of real servers — the scripted comedy follows six mismatched coworkers navigating impossible patrons, peevish middle management and their own failed dreams and incompetence. Art reflecting reality? You bet your ass.
